Cool pool for hot days

Summer is just around the corner and we are getting into the holiday mood, lots of sunshine and the summer season. A special tip for hot days is the Paracelsusbad: surprisingly cool temperatures, insect-free bathing and lots of fun for kids

Salzburg's coolest swimming pool

When summer temperatures pass the 30-degrees mark, the Paracelsusbad is a refreshing alternative to outdoor pools. The room temperature – constant and not affected by sun and humidity – feels like a shady spot by a lake. Children are delighted by the many water attractions, and the open architecture with glass fronts provides a view of the green spa garden. Clean pools, attentive security staff and a convenient catering offer make a visit to the indoor pool appealing – even in summer.

Elegance and efficiency

Even the staircase to the bathing area on the third floor illustrates the unique elegance of the Paracelsusbad: the curved vault of the bathing area consists of thousands of white ceramic slats, behind which all the technology is hidden. Another effect of this installation is to muffle the noise, which makes for a more comfortable atmosphere.

Get out your swim suit

While grown-ups prefer the sports pool with four lanes, the toddler pool with a maximum depth of 35 cm allows them to get acquainted with water sports. Parents can watch first attempts from the benches around the pool and lend a helping hand. Older children enjoy the family pool, where there is always something going on: air jets, a waterfall, a geyser and a current channel. The more adventurous ones can brave the diving tower or the climbing wall.

Discover the sauna world

The Paracelsusbad is a hot spot for sauna enthusiasts – even in summer. The unusual architecture, complemented by the stunning infinity pool on the roof terrace, make the sauna area enjoyable as well as relaxing, while strengthening the immune system. The visual highlight is certainly the infinity pool – the cold-water pool (temperature: 18 - 20° C) provides invigorating freshness. Sun worshippers can take advantage of the roof terrace to maintain their "streak-free" tan.
