The Christmas Wonder World in St Peter's Stiftskulinarium [ Abbey restaurant] opens in mid-November, bringing a festive and reflective ambience into the heart of Salzburg.

The entrance through the historic archway sets the Christmas mood, taking the visitor into the festively decorated courtyard of St Peter's Abbey restaurant – one of the oldest in Europe, dating back to 803. The decoration is designed by restaurateur Veronika Kirchmair herself. With loving detail and splendid Christmas trees, she creates a stylish, restful ambience, far from the madding crowd. The traditional mulled wine stall serves warm home-made drinks and small sweet and savoury delicacies.
Accompanying the Christmas Wonder World is a brass ensemble.
