Salzburgring
Just 13 km from Salzburg City, the Salzburgring lies amid the beautiful landscapes of the Salzkammergut. This race track is a mecca for fans of motorsports and the annual venue for the Electric Love Festival.
This race circuit was first opened in 1969 in the so-called Nesslgraben between Koppl and Plainfeld, not far from Salzburg. The track is 4255 m long and, aside from its good location just outside the cultural metropolis, the Salzburgring also appeals to visitors with natural grandstands that treat guests to especially interesting perspectives. The facilities also include an inn with a large terrace, from where you can follow the events and races.
As the successor to the famous Frequency Festival, the Electric Love Festival began writing its own success story in 2013. Today, it is the biggest Austrian Festival for electronic music and one of the very best Europe-wide. Every year, over 180,000 tickets are sold to visitors from over 60 nations. The event presents the best performers from the worlds of EDM, Dubstep, Electro, House, Hardstyle and Drum’n’Bass.
The Histo Cup and this acclaimed Salzburg race circuit have very close ties. The Salzburgring is also one of the host venues for the popular Gaisberg Races. In addition to the major motorsports events, the Salzburgring serves as a location for vehicle presentations, driver training as well as club meets.
