The Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) is one of the leading international training centers for contemporary dance and choreography. As a cultural institution in Salzburg, SEAD not only offers first-class programs for aspiring dancers and choreographers, but also a wide range of dance and movement courses for children, young people and adults. SEAD is also home to the successful BODHI PROJECT, an internationally recognized dance company.
Founded in 1993 by Susan Quinn, SEAD has developed from a small dance studio into an internationally renowned center for contemporary dance art. Today, around 100 students from more than 30 countries attend SEAD's innovative training programs. The academy is known for its avant-garde dance productions and its promotion of young, talented dancers.
SEAD contributes a great deal to Salzburg's cultural diversity with a variety of events, in-house productions and guest performances. The BODHI PROJECT, SEAD's in-house dance company, inspires with innovative dance performances and is regularly celebrated on international stages. As an independent Salzburg repertory company, the BODHI PROJECT has a unique place in the global dance universe and is known for its artistic excellence and avant-garde dance language.
