Café Sacher is an elegant stage for the world-famous Austrian coffee house culture. It is the only place, apart from Vienna, where you can enjoy the world-famous Sacher Torte and experience Salzburg.
Situated on the right bank of the Salzach river, red upholstery and white polished lacquer form the trademark of the traditional Café Sacher. Nevertheless, the Sacher is not a stiff institution, but an extremely cosy café that invites you to linger.
At Café Sacher, numerous sweet temptations and original coffee specialities are just waiting to be enjoyed: first and foremost, of course, the original Sacher Torte. The best thing to try for two is the typical Salzburger Nockerl [traditional sweet soufflé]. For the more savoury taste, the menu offers everything from goulash soup to Wiener Schnitzel and Sacher Würstel [sausages].
