Heritage Day
Monument Day features a different motto each year, opening up new and often unusual perspectives on Austria's cultural heritage. The Federal Monuments Office selects the respective annual motto.
On Heritage Day, historic buildings that are not normally open to the public, or only to a limited extent, are opened to the public. Well-known monuments are presented from a new perspective through themed tours and a special supporting programme. In 2024, the focus will be on craftsmanship. All events are free of charge.
