PUPPETS! _ „Das 2te Ich”
The figuren theater tübingen (Germany) is showing “Das 2te Ich”, a dream fragment by German philosopher Walter Benjamin, as part of the Puppets! Festival.
Written in 1930, “Das zweite Ich – eine Sylvestergeschichte” tells the story of a man who, on New Year's Eve, embarks on a journey through the old year, full of missed opportunities, forgotten resolutions and repressed desires. This production of “Das 2te Ich” opens up spaces for speechless encounters between man and character, original and image, reality and dream.
