PUPPETS! _ „„Le dernier jour de Pierre“”
The Companie DERAÏDENZ (France) will perform "Le Dernier Jour de Pierre" as part of the Puppets! Festival.
In the depths of winter, a man is walking through the countryside. He's not carrying a rucksack, but he doesn't look like a local either: It's Pierre. The snow is falling and he reaches a village. Is he looking for something? It seems as if he is simply following what his journey takes him for the moment, without a destination... In ten scenes, about 30 puppets tell the story of "Le Dernier Jour de Pierre". The action is repeatedly interrupted by supernatural or even eerie episodes that take place in front of the stage.

Puppets! The Salzburg Marionette Theatre Festival will take place for the first time in 2024. In addition to the Salzburg Marionette Theatre ensemble, 5 guest ensembles from Germany, Italy, France and Spain will perform. You can find the full programme here.
