Salzburg Advent Serenades
The Advent serenades in the Gothic hall of the St. Blasius church feature a charming compilation of classical music, folk music, readings and Christmas carols. Compiled annually, the programme is an inherent part Salzburg's pre-Christmas events.
The pre-Christmas season in Salzburg is characterised by atmospheric music in a unique ambience. Here, the focus in more on the skilfully designed programmes than the size of the venue. Every year, Elisabeth and Harald Nerat present an excellent selection of works for the Advent serenades, which have existed since 1987.
