KTM Motohall Mattighofen
This innovative exhibition, roughly 40 kilometers outside of Salzburg, on around 10 000 m² is dedicated to the history and milestones of the Austrian motorcycle make KTM.
The exhibition in Mattighofen on three levels offers intriguing insights into the brand, the technology and the history of the Austrian make KTM. Interactive displays, virtual tours, original bikes and special programs for kids make this an interesting place to visit. The architecture of the Motohall is a statement in its own right: The oval form of the building evokes a racetrack, the perforated pattern of the facade the tire prints of motocross tires.
Founded in Mattighofen in 1934, originally a metal workshop, 20 years later they would begin serial production of motorcycles. Today, KTM is one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers in Europe.
Also a very kid-friendly excursion destination, it can be reached by car in about 40 minutes, or by public transportation from Salzburg in an hour. The exhibition is handicapped-accessible, whilst a shop and restaurant add the finishing touches.
Holders of the Salzburg Card receive a 10% discount on the admission fee.
