Silent Night Tour - Oberndorf and Advent Market
The four-hour Silent Night Tour takes you from Salzburg to the Silent Night Chapel in Oberndorf. It was at this location that the famous Christmas song was first performed back in 1818. After a visit to the Silent Night District, the program includes a stroll through the traditional Advent market.
"Silent Night! - Holy Night!" is the most famous X-mas song in the world. Even Maria von Trapp and her Family sang it in front of the White House in Washington after World War II to get money for careboxes to be sent to Austria.
