
Guidelines and Conditions
Performance Period
- From the beginning of April until the end of October (weather permitting, performances may begin in late March).
- Monday to Thursday from 4:00 pm, Friday from 2:00 pm, Saturday all day, and Sunday from 1:00 pm.
Permitted to perform are choirs, musical ensembles, and dance groups. Performances by marching bands in the Mirabell Gardens are allowed only under certain conditions, depending on the size of ensemble. Marching bands wishing to perform in other public areas, including Salzburg’s historic centre, must obtain prior approval from the city administration:

Maximum Performance Duration
- 60 minutes + preparation time + buffer time.
- Consequently, only 2-hour blocks can be booked by our staff in the online calendar.

Performance Fees
A one-time administrative fee of €100 is charged for choirs and ensembles that are not staying in accommodation within the town of Salzburg or the surrounding municipalities (Anthering, Elixhausen, Elsbethen, Eugendorf, Grödig, Großgmain, Hallwang, Wals-Siezenheim). This fee is payable upon booking and is non-refundable, including for cancellations due to weather.
Groups staying in the town must submit a hotel booking confirmation as proof of accommodation.
General Guidelines
- Changes to bookings such as rescheduling or cancellations must be requested via email: tourist@salzburg.info.
- Performances are open to the public free of charge. Audience attendance cannot be guaranteed.
- Performers are not permitted to solicit or accept donations.
- The performance area is entirely outdoors, with no shelter available.
- There is no alternative venue in the event of bad weather.
- Performers must ensure that their repertoire and musical style align with the refined setting of Mirabell Gardens and remain considerate of both residents and visitors.
- The designated group leader must familiarise themselves with these guidelines and ensure full compliance with all instructions.
- There are no direct parking facilities for buses at the Mirabell Gardens. Please consult the coach bus regulations in Salzburg.
- No staging, music stands, instruments, or seating is provided. Should you require these, please contact one of the following suppliers:

- The use of amplifiers is prohibited in the Mirabell Gardens.
Promotion
If you wish to promote your performance, leaflets (A5 size only, no posters) can be displayed at our tourist information offices. Please send your materials to: TSG Tourismus Salzburg GmbH, Mozartplatz 5, 5020 Salzburg.
Upon request, your performance can be included in our event calendar. Please send a brief description (maximum 500 characters) to tourist@salzburg.info.
Liability
TSG Tourismus Salzburg GmbH shall not be held liable for the loss or damage of equipment, nor for any injuries sustained by performers.
