Rehearsal centre in Aigen
Since 2017, the district of Aigen has been home to a particularly interesting venue belonging to the Salzburg Landestheater. In the rehearsal centre, as almost nowhere else, you can practically rub shoulders with the artists.
The fairly inconspicuous building with the iridescent façade, which looks different depending on the time of day, light and weather conditions, is the origin of all the Landestheater productions. It houses four rehearsal stages, two ballet studios, a choir room, the Theatre workshops and the extensive costumes and props storage. The building can accommodate rehearsals for between four and six productions concurrently.
The dimensions of the largest rehearsal stage in the building are the same as those of the main stage in the Landestheater, including the revolving stage. With seating for just 150 in the gallery, it is also used regularly by the Landestheater for performances.
