The Toihaus Salzburg is an important cultural meeting point for families in the city. Since its founding in 1993, the theater has brought numerous outstanding productions for young audiences to the stage, with the aim of exciting children and teenagers about theater. In addition to its own productions, Toihaus also showcases guest performances from both domestic and international contexts.
Since 2007, the Toihaus Theater has organized the BimBam festival, which presents contemporary, international theater for toddlers and very young children every two years. It is also a member of the "Small Size" network, a global cooperation of theaters that produce for young children.
