Khovanshchina is an unfinished political opera in five acts by Modest P. Mussorgsky (1839-1881), text by the composer after Vladimir V. Stasov.
Modest Mussorgsky's fascinating folk drama is directed by the critically acclaimed director Simon McBurney. At the helm of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra is Esa-Pekka Salonen, who will present a version of the unfinished work based only on the evidence left by Mussorgsky.
