The Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg invited the best artists of their time to contribute to the decoration of the ceremonial rooms of the residence. This often meant engaging with existing artistic designs.
Thus, the first exhibition of contemporary sculptures in these spaces seems obvious. The British-German sculptor Tony Cragg creates works in dialogue with the ceremonial rooms that provide new impulses for the perception of this historic place.
