Chronicle of Success

In 1947, Grete and Leopold Gössl laid the foundation of the company in Grödig near Salzburg with the production and distribution of high-quality blouses. What began as a small tailoring shop developed over the decades into a comprehensive range of high-quality traditional costumes for women and men. Today, Gössl enjoys great popularity far beyond the German-speaking world. With numerous stores in Austria and Germany as well as a modern online shop, Gössl is easily reachable for traditional costume lovers and ranks among the leading brands in the premium and luxury segment of traditional costumes.

The Gwandhaus

In 2004, Gössl revitalized the former Schloss St. Rupert hotel near Schloss Hellbrunn and transformed it into the present-day Gwandhaus. Since then, the historic estate has served as a special place for high-quality traditional costumes, personal consultation, and warm hospitality. In addition to the Gössl store, the gastronomy and special events invite guests to linger, making the Gwandhaus a place where lifestyle and craftsmanship come to life.
