Salzburg Bach Choir
The Salzburg Bach Choir, one of Austria's most important vocal ensembles, has international appeal. Characterised by a high degree of flexibility, the choir's musical repertoire spans five centuries.
Whether it is specialist Mozart performances, a cappella singing, chamber music or large choral-orchestral works: the Bach Choir plays an important role in Salzburg's cultural scene, not only in its instrumentation but also in the overall choral sound, covering music from all epochs of music history.
Among the fixed points in the Bach Choir's concert year are performances at the Mozart Week and the Salzburg Festival. There, the choir regularly appears on stage with renowned orchestras such as the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Dresdner Staatskapelle or the Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble. The Bach Choir is also a welcome guest on concert tours in other European countries and has performed on major stages and at well-known festivals in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany, France and Italy.
