Salzburg Palace Concerts
The Salzburg Palace Concerts in the historic Marble Hall of Mirabell Castle, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart once performed, offer a well-balanced programme of high quality.
Lively, authentic and atmospheric performances: The Mirabell Palace Concerts are synonymous with classical music at the highest level. The Baroque Marble Hall, where the concerts take place, is also part of the experience. The former banqueting hall of the Prince Archbishop is lined with marble and decorated with gilded stucco. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who played here with his father and sister, appreciated its good acoustics.
The musicians of the Salzburg Concert Society follow in Mozart's footsteps with enthusiasm and creativity. Under the direction of Konstantin Hiller, they give around 700 concerts a year, including performances at Mirabell Palace and St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. The programme includes works by Mozart and many other classical composers.
