Stiftung Mozarteum - Villa Vicina
The Villa Vicina is adjacent to the headquarters of the International Mozarteum Foundation in the Schwarzstrasse. The new concert hall in this historicist-style villa (built in 1873) seats an audience of 150.
The light, airy concert hall in the Villa Vicina (Lat. "neighbouring town-house") offers state-of-the-art technological facilities. The distinctive mural design – a sound-wave representation of Mozart's A major Clarinet Concerto K622 – was created in collaboration with professional acousticians. A spacious bar and cloakroom area and a beautiful garden for summertime concert intervals make the Villa Vicina a really special venue.
The intimate atmosphere of the new concert hall makes an ideal setting for formats such as after-work concerts, lieder and chamber-music recitals, workshops and readings, as well as DIALOGUES Festival and Mozart Week events.
