BeerTasting Challenge Salzburg 2025: The Ultimate Beer Hunt Returns
On May 17, 2025, Salzburg once again becomes a hotspot for beer enthusiasts. The second edition of the BeerTasting Challenge invites participants to discover the city in a unique and flavorful way: through an interactive beer-themed scavenger hunt featuring over 20 tasting stations spread across Salzburg.
More than 30 breweries – from local legends like Stiegl and Augustiner Bräu to international names such as Hoegaarden – will be showcasing over 50 different beer varieties. Tastings are served in 0.1-liter samples, redeemable with special tokens. A starter pack, priced at €20, includes ten tasting tokens, the official BeerTaster wristband, and a commemorative pin.
A special bonus awaits those who visit at least ten stations and rate their tastings: an exclusive metal sign to mark the achievement. The BeerTasting app serves as a digital guide throughout the day, helping users navigate the city, find stations, and review the beers they’ve sampled.
