Franz Trattner’s Open Mic Session
The legendary Sunday Open Mic Sessions at the New York Village Underground serve as the model. The concept behind it: There is a fixed setlist – available on the Jazzit website – featuring songs in the genres of Soul, R&B, Blues, and Funk, such as those by Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ray Charles, Amy Winehouse, etc. Singers and instrumentalists have the opportunity to perform songs from this list with the established Fun(k) Orchestra.
