Original Salzburger Advent®
Since its foundation in 1991, Salzburg Advent® in St. Andrä Church has developed into one of the most popular and highest-quality Advent events, and with around 12,000 visitors each year, it is the second largest Advent Singing event in Salzburg.
The Salzburg Advent® was founded in 1991. Surrounded by the unique sacred space of the City Parish Church of St. Andrä at Mirabellplatz, over 100 participants, including music and singing ensembles, the children's theater ensemble, and Johann Pötzelsberger, the voice of the "Salzburg Advent," revive the Christmas of their childhood. Around a central theater piece, the ensembles create a particularly atmospheric experience each year with specially selected songs and texts.
The new program 2025 “A Miracle has Happened!” with many new songs, musical pieces, and cherished classics aims to be one of these everyday miracles for you.
