Pocket Opera Festival
The Pocket Opera Festival is organized by Klang 21 and presents premieres by renowned composers such as Elena Mendoza, Nikolaus Brass, Bernd-Richard Deutsch, and Vito Žuraj. These works are performed by the SWR Vocal Ensemble and create a "sound space" that addresses the themes of humanity, mass, and power.
The portrayals of the five protagonists dynamically explore the tension fields between leadership and seduction as well as manipulation and resistance, power and powerlessness.
