Spiritual Opening • Fatum
Since 2012, the spiritual opening has dedicated itself in the early days of the Salzburg Festival to the centuries-old tradition of sacred music. In addition to a thematic focus, these concerts are closely linked in content to the overall program.
The work of Luigi Nono is designed for three sopranos, a small choir, bass flute, contrabass clarinet, and live electronics.
The sound direction is in the hands of Markus Wallner, with live electronics created by David Pirrò.
Under the direction of conductor Cordula Bürgi, the performers Friederike Kühl, Johanna Vargas, Johanna Zimmer, Iva Kovač, and Marco Sala can be heard.
