Since 2012, the spiritual opening has dedicated itself in the first days of the Salzburg Festival to the centuries-old tradition of sacred music. In addition to a thematic focus, these concerts are closely linked to the overall program.
Under the musical direction of Peter Phillips and Ilan Volkov, an impressive program is presented.
The renowned Tallis Scholars and the Ensemble Musikfabrik, including the performer Benjamin Kobler, will perform works by Carlo Gesualdo and Marko Nikodijevic.
