Jazz&TheCity means Salzburg’s churches and wine bars alike opening their doors to audiences, while international performers make music together in a relaxed setting with free admission.

A whole city transformed into a stage

Actually, the stages during Jazz&TheCity are every bit as diverse as the artists themselves: At different locations, the program promise an incomparable atmosphere and compelling musical experimentation. The program includes World Music, jazz and electronic music, international greats as well as newcomers with a bright future. Musicians and music lovers flock the streets and back lanes of Salzburg, enjoying the blend of music, great food and drink, and casual encounters. And all of that plus free admission!

Jazz&TheCity Festival 2024

Jazz&TheCity has been a fixed date in the calendar of events in Salzburg's old town for over 25 years. So this year, from 17 to 20 October, the music festival once again invites you to drift through the city for four days and discover new music. Under the motto "Come Together", an exciting mix of gentle and wild sounds will be created at the Jazz&TheCity Festival 2024. Exciting insights into music await. Blind dates will see musicians meet for the first time in front of an audience, and very special moments will emerge during impro slots. The large and small venues are all within walking distance of Salzburg's old town.
