Salzburg's most photogenic cycle tour
One look at Salzburg's streets and alleyways is enough to realise that the bicycle is one of the most important means of transport here. In addition, it allows visitors to the city of Mozart to go to little-known places and feel like a local. Most of this cycle tour leads along the Salzach river. First you head north, where the pilgrimage church of Maria Plain offers an almost magical view of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains. The way back into the city and further south is lined with incomparable and new views of the fortress. The next stop is Hellbrunn palace, a true oasis of recreation full of photo opportunities. On the last section along the Almkanal and up to Schloss Leopoldskron, the peace and serenity of the area can cause visitors to forget that they are in the cosmopolitan city of Salzburg.
