Charitable Advent Market at the Alter Markt
The Old Market in Salzburg's old town served as a marketplace as early as the 13th century. For more than 25 years now, a charitable Advent market takes place here in the run-up to Christmas.
Advent market for a good cause
At the Alter Markt in the heart of the old town, good is done during Advent. Four huts and eight stalls are run exclusively by voluntary associations. More than 60 associations are involved in this market.
All consumption is for a good cause, the market is organized by the Lions Club Salzburg Mirabell.
