City Explorer on the road in Salzburg

City Explorers

City Explorers is a journey of discovery through Salzburg for children. The two-hour walk leads to 13 unique landmarks in the town, accompanied by the friendly figure of little Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Explore Salzburg

The City Exporers folder invites children to make all kinds of cool discoveries, no matter what time of year they visit. From a fountain with mythical sea horses, on to a mill wheel turning on the Almkanal, followed by delicious snacks from the centuries-old St. Peter's bakery.

Little Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will also take the young visitors to a knight's tomb at St. Peter’s Church, and reveal what Saint Florian has in his hand at the Floriani Fountain. All these adventures turn a walk through the city into a modern treasure hunt.

The folder is available free of charge at the local tourist information offices. If all the questions about the stations are answered correctly, children will receive a small gift at one of the tourist information offices.
