From around the world to Salzburg

In just three hours and without changing trains, you can take the train from Vienna-Schwechat Airport to Salzburg. Vienna-Schwechat is Austria's largest airport and the hub of Lufthansa's subsidiary Austrian Airlines (AUA).

From Vienna to Salzburg with the ÖBB

The journey by train from Vienna-Schwechat Airport to Salzburg is possible without changing trains. The journey takes just under three hours. You can also expect around three hours for travel by (rental) car. From the airport, follow the A4 motorway to the A1 and continue directly to Salzburg.

Vienna-Schwechat Airport

Vienna Airport is located in Schwechat, a small municipality 16 kilometers southeast of Vienna's center. The airport is connected to the suburban, regional, and long-distance transport network of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Additionally, the City Airport Train (CAT) operates as a fast connection to downtown Vienna.
