Café Konditorei Fürst - Alter Markt
Café-Konditorei Fürst stands for sweet temptations and traditional coffee creations. The biggest highlight is the Original Salzburger Mozartkugel, which is still made by hand with the best ingredients according to Paul Fürst's original recipe.
Café-Konditorei Fürst has been located in the main building in the Brodgasse with its terrace facing the Alter Markt since 1884. It is the perfect place to take in the Salzburg atmosphere – ideally with a delicious cake or praline made in-house.
When Paul Fürst coated a marzipan core with pistachio and nougat and then dipped it in dark chocolate in 1890, the Original Salzburger Mozartkugel was born. Shortly afterwards, he was awarded the gold medal for it at an international exhibition in Paris – and the triumph of the Mozartkugel was unstoppable. Even today, the classic praline is still made by hand and can hardly be compared to industrial products.
The Original Salzburger Mozartkugel can be bought at four locations in Salzburg. In addition to the café confectioners on Alter Markt and Mirabellplatz, there are Confectionery shops in the Ritzerbogen and at the end of Getreidegasse. The delicacies can also be ordered conveniently at home from the online shop.
