Salzburg Cultural Association
The Salzburg Cultural Association is one of the leading concert organizers in the city of Mozart, Salzburg, and has predominantly been operating the Great Festival Hall for 75 years.
The Salzburg Cultural Association was founded in 1947 as a kind of "people's education association." Today, it is one of the most important music organizers in Salzburg, hosting nearly 30 concerts annually in the Great Festival House. In addition to this musical focus, the Cultural Association organizes around 40 performances of the Salzburg Street Theatre in the summer and manages the Georg Trakl Research and Memorial Site.
As a music organizer, the Cultural Association presents local and international orchestras, conductors, and artists, as well as up-and-coming talents from the classical scene. Over the past 75 years, the New Year’s Concerts in the Great Festival House have particularly developed into important highlights.
