Mozart Dinner Concert
The Mozart Dinner Concert whisks you away to the days of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. And simultaneously combines two delights on a single evening: a historical menu along with the music of Mozart.
Anyone can host a candlelight dinner – but a Mozart Dinner Concert will also immerse you completely in Mozart’s world! You will experience an evening as it might well have happened back in 1790. The location: the Baroque Hall, illuminated by candlelight, at the St. Peter Stiftskeller. A befitting setting in every regard: Mozart was himself one of the guests at this, the oldest restaurant in Europe.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had a weakness for good food and often wrote about it in his letters. The 3-course menu served at Mozart Dinner Concerts is based on historical recipes, adapted to the modern palate and the season. The dishes are served between each of the musical interludes.
Two opera singers and five instrumentalists of the Amadeus Consort are responsible for the musical program. Dressed in the fashions of Mozart’s contemporaries, they give a splendid performance. Whether The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni or The Marriage of Figaro: You will get to hear many famous melodies from Mozart’s greatest operas.
